This extremely rare 19th century retablo on heavy gauge tin represents "El Divino Preso" or "The Divine Prisoner." As seen above, Christ, bound and shackled atop a pedestal base, is accompanied by two Roman soldiers. His face is beautifully rendered; surrounded by an aura of brilliant gold paint.
