This rare 19th century "red bole" retablo, painted on heavy gauge tin, represents "El Calvario." The retablo features a disproportionately large and anatomically incorrect Cristo with Mater Dolorosa and San Juan Evangelista at the base of the cross. An all around great 19th century folk retablo!
