#3164 - La Purisima Concepcion

This very fine 19th century folk retablo represents "La Purisima," also known as "La Inmaculada." As seen above, Mary is surrounded by billowing white clouds with a crescent moon and a writhing serpent underfoot. A brilliant red sun face is partially obscured with one eye peering around the side of her gold embroidered cloak. An all around great 19th century retablo of the highest caliber.

Dimensions: 14 inches x 10 inches.

Condition is excellent.
