This lovely 19th century retablo painting represents "NS de Carmen" or "Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. NS de Carmen, patroness saint of purgatory, embraces the Christ child in both arms. She wears a brilliant jeweled crown and bares the scapular shield of the Carmelite Order in lower right.
Dimensions: image size is 13 inches x 10 inches. Displayed in a handsome gilt wood frame.
Condition: very minor losses as seen in photo, otherwise excellent. Original.
