#3999 - Saint Anthony

This mid 19th century retablo depicts Saint Anthony, patron saint of lost articles, fertility, starvation, expectant mothers, amputees and shipwrecks. The retablo is attributed to the "red eyelid painter." His unique style is unmistakable. Displayed in a wonderful late 19th century punched tin and painted nicho frame - a work of art in itself.

Dimensions: retablo measures 13 inches x 10 inches. Nicho measures 19 inches x 13.5 inches x 5.5 inches.

Condition: excellent with only minor paint loss.
