| This rare 19th century retablo on heavy gauge tin depicts San Miguel Archangel, patron saint of warriors and soldiers. Saint Michael, leader of the forces of heaven in the triumph over the forces of evil, is usually depicted as he is here, as a winged archangel in battle attire. San Miguel carries a fiery sword in one hand with a defeated demon / dragon underfoot (representative of the triumph of good over evil).
Dimensions are 14" x 10."
