#4175 - San Antonio de Padua

Saint Anthony, patron saint of lost articles, fertility, starvation, expectant mothers, amputees and shipwrecks, is depicted in this rare 19th century retablo painting. Unlike most other examples of this subject, this playful counterpart features Baby Jesus in the foreground, positioned on a two dimensional, gravity defying yellow carpet with Saint Anthony's sash in tow.

Dimensions: 14 inches x 10 inches.
