#2947 - San Francisco de Paula

This very compelling 19th century retablo painting on heavy gauge tin represents San Francisco de Paula. St. Francis, patron saint of fires, plagues and the blind, is almost always depicted as he is here, with "Caritas" (Charity) illuminated from above. The retablo is nicely rendered -- clearly by the hand of a trained academic painter.

Dimensions are 14" x 10"

Condition: overall condition is excellent with only minor paint loss.
