#3094 - San Jose

This stylistically unique 19th century retablo represents San Jose, patron saint of family, fathers and carpenters. Joseph, surrounded by an areola of billowing white clouds and a brilliant blue sky, is flanked by two charming cherubs, each supporting the weight of Joseph's unwieldy gold crown. The retablo is beautifully rendered. The palette is rich with color - fully saturated in deep shades of blue, green, red and yellow-gold.

Dimensions: 14 inches x 10 inches.

Condition is excellent with only minor paint loss.
