Early Mexican Pulque Cup - #6057
This has to be one of the most unique 'pulque' accessories known to exist - a rare early 20th century pulque cup with a large hand forged iron scroll handle that also serves as a drink stand. The relief carving, sculpted from cow's horn, features a pair of festive dogs, gathered at a table -- throwing back pitchers of pulque. Dated October of 1912.
** Pulque, for those unfamiliar, is a popular alcoholic beverage made from the fermented juice of the maguey plant.
