A pair of bright and cheerful early 20th century Mexican mezcal monkey bottles (changos) from Oaxaca. Original hand painted surface with ceramic cup, earring, silk embroidery and remnants of wax seal and cork stopper. Oaxaca - circa 1930's. Mezcal, for those who are unfamiliar, is an alcoholic drink made from the fermented juice of the maguey (agave) plant.
Dimensions: approximately 10 inches tall.
